Hi,
I recently had my perfectly working hackintosh (of two years) freeze on me. The image I was working on in photoshop starting flickering red and a kernal panic screen came up. I haven't been able to boot the computer successfully since.
I've been doing a bunch of research online and on these forums and am still unable to figure out the problem. No matter what boot flag I use the gray apple boot screen is immediately followed by a black screen. When I boot in verbose mode the computer doesn't get stuck on any command lines. I've tried photographing the final screens (which I'm attaching) to see if any find any errors and I haven't been able to. I've also tried reinstalling the os with a usb key.
I posted here earlier and someone suggested it might be a power supply issue. I just purchased a new power supply and it's had no effect. I've tried booting while all my storage drives are disconnected as well.
At this point I'm not sure what to do. Because booting in verbose doesn't tell me anything can I assume it's a hardware issue? And because it's not the power supply or the storage drives can I assume it's the video card? The motherboard?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
