Hello,

I am running the following system specs

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930k 3.20GHz

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth z79 board
Memory: Gskill 16GB DDR3 2133MHz
VGA card: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Windforce

The odd thing is that when I install the system, everything works fine except for the GPUSensors.kext which seems to collide somehow with other hardware in my system. When I have this extension installed which is inside the FakeSMC.kext, my system freezes at boot when I have istats menu or HWSensors installed and running.

This extension enables the programs to read the GPU temperature. Without the GPUSensors.kext, the system runs fine but having it installed causes errors.

Question 1: Is there anybody out there who has the same card running without problems (it is the factory overclocked card see above!)?
Question 2: What did you install to have it running?

Anyone had this problem and get rid of it? How?

PS: I am running the Motherboard on 3009 Bios with the dsdt-injection for my motherboard which booted up my system without problems.

Same issue here except with a 660Ti, installed FakeSMC, and now it freezes at boot on the desktop. Tried to reboot a few times with the same result, even got a kernel panic one time. Any idea how to revert back to the old FakeSMC without plugins?

This is easy to solve:

go into S/l/E and then into the package FakeSMC.kext and look for GPUSensors.kext. Delete the GPUSensors.kext and HWSensors or istatMenu will work again. You will be missing the GPU sensors then but beside this, everything else works for me.

I am checking with the developer to see where the problem is exactly as it seems that more users with Kepler chipsets have this issue that afterbooting the GPUSensor in connection with HWsensors or istatmenus causes a system freeze.

With the newest Version from Github it works without removing the GPUSensors.kext.

Seems to be a problem with the gup sensor readings for certain OC Nvidia 6XX cards.

Hello! i have one GTX 670m without optimus.

I'm having the system freeze on ML 10.8.3

I will try it. TY.

EDIT:

This works well apparently. I used Final Cut X 10.0.8 several hours and had no problems. Run the luxmark, OpenCL extension viewer and Wave all ok

Well Hello !

I just got the same graphic card but in a Haswell config. And i pretty much have the same probleme.

I get blocked when system boot at :

PCIConfiguration Begin

I searched about flag like npci=0x3000 and stuff but it didn't work at all.

I don't know where i can look for something to find a fix or something.

Config :
Gigabyte Z87x UD5H
i7 4770k
Gigabyte GTX 670 OC

And the installation with unibeast just work fine.

So if someone have information about this problem ?!

Hi,
I seem to have no problem with my GTX 670 FTW Sig2 card(EVGA) . I was wondering if there was any kext's i had to install for my GPU/CPU Fans to start spinning faster under load.... they only seem to idle whenever im doing some work... under full load also they just spin idle.... i tested them on windows and they work perfect but even after changing the CPU fan settings in the BIOS of GA-Z77x-UD5H, nothing seems to happen....

all help is much appreciated :)
