Hello everyone, I recently updated my computer at Mac 10.10.5 from App Store successfully.
After I rebooted an Nvidia popup showed me that the installed driver (for Mac 10.10.4) was no longer compatible, so I decided to update this driver, I downloaded and installed the latest version (346.02.03f01) without any problem. After that my computer booted up using OS X Default Graphic Driver, I switched to NVIDIA Web Driver and rebooted but suddenly when the apple screen in at about half my monitor is no longer receiving signal and shows only a black screen. :O

This happen when I use nvda_drv=1 boot flag but if I don't use it simply computer boot but the driver doesn't work. I'm using a GTX 970

I trust in your help. Thank you in advance.

Look for info.plist file in

/System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/

Look for Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6 = Config1 , replace "Config1" to "none" I did it for any other "Config1" i found.

Run kext utility to refresh kext cache.

Cheers

There ^

That fix is really only necessary if the OP is using a MacPro6,1 or iMac15,1 system profile. They are using an X99 board so might be using MacPro6,1.

I changed that value but nothing happened, do I really need to refresh kext cache? If it can help you I use Chimera bootloader.

Yes you really need to refresh kext cache.

OK, I try it now.

It worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

Sorry for that "stupid" question but how to refresh kext cache ?

Thx !!!!

i try to used Kextbeast but nothing changed except a message :

"plist file has not been well installed" or something....

I rebooted then nothing, black screen again.

with nv_disable=1 its ok.

You simply need to download and run kext utility, after that reboot your computer.
