ASUS Q550LF Intel 4400 HD 10.9.4 Help

Hello there!

After updating from 10.9.1 on an ASUS Q550LF laptop to 10.9.4 the system does not report any video ram to applications.(it shows 1536 in system report) The applications run fine but if I try to install an application that checks for VRAM the install fails with a 0MB vram warning!

On 10.9.1 the "About this Mac" window showed 1024 mb of VRAM. Now there is nothing next to the graphics card name.

What can be the problem?

I'm using chimera 3.0.1. Graphics Acceleration is on. Simply the video ram reporting seems to not work properly!

I have tried all IGPlatformID boot flags. The strange thing is that with PlatformID: "


0A2E0008" the laptops monitor is at full brightness. All other IDs give low brightness...
Also with this ID there are no artifacts. Others give slight artifacting when at the login screen.

Did you use any boot flags to install?

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.
