I did graphicsenabler=no in mulitbeast then reinstalled the 670 and now can only boot in safe mode

Strange, did you install any driver? Which system definitions did you select?

V310 - I built the same system with your specifications. Everything works! I haven't had any boot-up problems. Never have but I have only been up and running for a couple of hours.

I haven't over clocked yet but will try your settings in a couple of days when I feel things are running stable under the default setting.

I did not add the Fake SMC. Did install the NVDIA drivers but not the Cuda Driver (yet). Haven't done the Open CL patch yet either. Also on 3,1.

Everything is working wonderfully so far. I will keeps things the same for now then see if I can tweak performance.

Thanks for these instructions! They were really helpful!!!

I did increase my OC to 4.3Ghz, still pretty stable :)

Which 660ti are you using? Did you manage to wake it up from sleep?

What about sound, can you MUTE sound on your system?

No. I can't wake it from sleep. I have the EVGA card. That is annoying. Hopefully there is a solution somewhere.

I installed nvidia's driver, but CUDA will not install. System def is Mac Pro 5.1

Well, technically speaking: I don't know

All I can say is that you can use any System Definitions that you want, however, the benchmark scores will be different.

I got my best score using the MacPro 5,1 definition ... so it was definitely a keeper.

Just don't forget to delete the files that i mentioned if you are going to try the MacPro 4,1 or 5,1 definitions. Good luck!

Will do! I'll mess around with it this weekend. I bought a splitter for the fan that needs to get installed plus a samsung 830 256 gig hd. I'll see how it alters the benchmarks from that standpoint.

Thanks for all the info. I definitely used your build as the basis for mine!

Has anyone been able to get the USB ports on the side of the chassis to work? The ones on the back work fine. What is strange is that there is a light that is "on" on the USB but it isn't mounting. The headphone jack works! It does mute the sound coming out of the jack in the back of the computer (which is good!)
