What ids did you rebrand the card with? Attach output of 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

I rebranded to Intel Centrino N 6205

Vendor Id - 8086
Device id - 0085
Subsystem Id - 8086 1311

No output from 'lspci' is attached. Please read post #507.

hi RehabMan, Attaching the output from linux terminal. But this mini PCI Wifi card is now connected to a different laptop and i ran the command from that computer and not from T430 since my 430 is not allowing to boot because of the whitelist error.

I've never seen a BIOS check the bluetooth (USB) ids. But yours appears to be doing that. There is no way that I know of to rebrand the bluetooth part. What happens if you disable bluetooth from BIOS? Or you can tape the bluetooth/USB pins on the card, such that it is not connected.

Thanks Rehabman. Based on your idea i was able to tape the bluetooth pin and but when i boot i see below error message. Did i put incorrect subsystem id while re branding?

Check the IDs on the original card. Also test the original card with the bluetooth/USB pins taped.

Yes, as i thought i messed up the subsystem id while rebranding it.

The original hardware id is as follows,
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0085&SUBSYS_13118086&REV_34

but the rebranded one is showing as follows,
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0085&SUBSYS_80861311&REV_01

Is there a way to fix this?

You have to rebrand it again, but do it correctly. It may involve some more changes now that your card is identified as Intel (you'll be making more changes to the Linux drivers in order to get them to load...)

Do we have any ROM tool to rebrand a intel wifi card?
