Asus P6X58D-Premium Motherboard

Hi All,

Its a nice topic here !
I have the same mobo, with core i7 920 12GB ram and 2 GTX670 Graphic cards in SLI.

When I am trying to install El capitan I only get black screens..
I' have managed to get to the installer once, and installed just fine, but after reboot and going for the first boot I end up with only a black screen.
I know it reached OSX, because I can open my dvd-drive for example..

How to fix this ??

I was trying to install El Capitan on my Asus P6X58D-E.

I followed your steps, but could'nt get it to work.

Here is what I did:
1. USB Stick Formated(MBR)
2. Used Unibeast 6.0.1 (with inject ATI)

The system don't get to the installer.

I've also tried Unibeast 6.1.1, Multibeast 8.1.0, Clover (3270, 3291, 3346, 3354), Clover El Capitan V7.
I think I didn't got the config right...
I used the config that was posted for the P6X58D-E and the config you posted for the premium.


Could you help me step by step to get the system goin?

Okey I got it working!

1. USB Stick MBR Format
2. Unibeast 6.0.1
3. Secound USB Stick with Clover 3270

5. Kext for Network link Roberto said!
6. Used the DSDT.aml for the -E Version of the MOBO

The only problems are now
- Sleep
- Sound
- USB 3.0

Working on that right now ...


Edit:
- Sound works out of the box!
- Sleep works

Still got the Problem with the usb 3.0 ports not working (Bios detects everything that is connected to the USB 3.0 Ports).

Use boot option "nv_disable=1". Then you can log in to download and install Nvidia WEB drivers. Then it should work. If it doesn't, you need to add the "nvda_drv=1" boot option to the config.plist in the EFI partition. (assuming you are using Clover)

Hey guys!

Can't seem to get to the OS X installer - I'm getting a kernel panic when loading the installer.

Kernal Extensions in backtrace:
com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBUHCIPCI(1.0.1)

Any ideas would be helpful, running ASUS P6X58D Premium - Version 1501 (latest).

Got it, followed the instructions from this post and got it installed. When it boots it's a black screen, nv_enabled=1 boot solved that. I'll post back if I have issues.

i have a P6x58D-E, and iread this thread , and i'm not sur about the wall precise procedur.
at what time we replace hte config list file , the kext , we put it when and how dou you replace it , with command line? and i anderstoud that we have to use unibeast and now we are talking about clover...

Can anyone put the precise installation step by step, because i am lost.

How do you do this? can you give me the right file? and you replace it in what folder? and you do it just after you did usb with unibeast?

please where and how do you change CloverEFI_64bits_bios_blockIO and Install boot0f in MBR. i don't anderstand the manipulation.

You change it in the options available in Clover during install procedure.........

So, thank you Roberto!

Several months ago, after problems with USB 3.0, I decided to stay on old system. Yesterday I received my new USB 3.0 board based on fresco chipset and did new try) And everything perfect!)))

Finally, I use external SoundBlaster and have USB 3.0 OOB with new card. Did update from 10.11.1 to 10.11.5 and all perfect)))) I only reinjected network kext.
