Having finally, after a hair pulling and expletive filled few days of getting my Hack up and running with El Capitan and Clover, everything seems to be running smoothly, except for one thing: Silverlight in full screen.

I know most video streaming sites use HTML5 or Flash mostly now, but here in the UK, Sky TV's NowTV online service still uses Silverlight for its web based content. In multiple browsers (Safari, and Firefox) on El Capitan, viewing streaming video on NowTV via Silverlight in a window runs smoothly, but in full screen, it stutters and sometimes flickers.

I thought this may point to GPU acceleration not being enabled for my card on El Capitan, but all other aspects of the OS, including transparency work as smooth as butter, so I'm thinking this is not the case. I've also made sure "Hardware Acceleration" is ticked in Silverlight preferences.

Is this a case of just being "on the bleeding edge", and waiting for Microsoft to update the Silverlight plugin, or have others had similar issues, and managed to resolve them? I'm using the native OS X Nvidia driver for my card (specs listed on the left), not the Nvidia Web Driver.

All help and info much appreciated!

Microsoft abandons Silverlight and is encouraging companies that use its Silverlight media format on their web pages to dump the tech in favour of newer, HTML5-based media playback systems.

Probably a case of waiting for Sky to update to HTML5 then, which knowing them, will be 12 months after everyone else!
