I am not sure if this solution is posted somewhere else but I have a driver to activate on board bluetooth on Asus Z97 Deluxe motherboard (tested on OS X Mavericks). Several other Asus motherboards might have same bluetooth chip and this driver should work for all those cases.

How do you know if this is the right driver for you?

Check system information and if you see a device under USB with name BCM20702A0 then it should work for your motherboard.

How to install?

  1. Download View attachment AsusBCM20702A0Bluetooth.kext.zip.
  2. Unzip it.
  3. Copy the AsusBCM20702ABluetooth.kext to desktop.
  4. Run KextBeast to install.
  5. Reboot
  6. Bluetooth icon should now appear on top (near Time machine icon)

Try it and please post your motherboard info in case it worked for you.

At first this sorta worked for me, I installed and it had blue tooth up it saw my keyboard and track pad, but woulnt pair. I restarted a few time and then it neither of them would show up. I tried to delete the kext and reinstall, but when i goto restart i get a bunch of kernal panics and it doesnt boot then i try to boot again and it boots just fine and it keeps doing that in no pattern at all the only way i can for sure boot every time is verbose mode. i also did a fresh install and loaded up everything prior to deleting the kext the first time and i am still getting boot issues.

I am very new to this any input is much appreciated ive been looking for a fix for a few days

Havent tested its stability but it's definitely recognizing my BT now...

BIG THANKS!!!!!:headbang:

Hi, I have this same bluetooth, and it is recognized on the system report with BCM20702A0 . But the problem that I'm having is that my trackpad and keyboard are acting up. Like there is a key press or like the trackpad is being press when is not. So basically I can't use them. Are any of you having the same issue? Is there a way to solve this? Thank you
