Hi everyone, Im new to building hackintoshes and this is my first one. I have everything working perfectly except for the fact that when I click on the wifi button it searches for networks but cant find any. I know this is a software issue because I dual booted it with Windows 8 and the wifi worked perfectly. Im using the Gigabyte UD5H motherboard and the Tp-Link TL-WDN3800 PCI Express wifi Adapter. Any help would be much appreciated as I would like to use the internet on my mac.

Im having same problem any solutions but with Gigabyte h77n

I have the same adapter. I just got off the phone with TP-Link and they said that it is not Mac compatible. I don't think that it has anything to do with the motherboard. There must be some Kext files that fix it though.

Any help on fixing this is appreciated, Thanks.

The Original poster has and I quote a "Tp-Link TL-WDN3800", this model is not supported. Please check that you have a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 as is listed on the buyers guide. If you have the 4800 model that I have mentioned then proceed;

  • Go to System Preferences and delete all devices in the network section
  • Navigate to Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and delete the com.apple.airport.preferences.plist, NetworkInterfaces.plist and com.apple.boot.plist
  • Reboot
  • In System Preferences set up your network and test all is working.
