CPU
i5-3570K
Graphics
GT 640
I have an:
Z77-DS3H MOBO (Ver 1.1)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
16 Gb Kingston DDR3 1600 mhz RAM
Seagate ST500DM002 HHD
Broadcom Dongle BlueTooth
Broadcom BCM3xx V0.1 WiFi card

I have this system configured in Mavericks and was working like a charm, I installed Yosemite and my boot problems begin, i was booting in verbose mode and sometimes got stuck in the white scrren with the mouse arrow, others with the back screen and the monitor went to sleep mode, others with Kernel panic, I thought that was the bluetooth, or the i5-3570K CPU, but finally looking at the Log files I start thinking on the video drivers for the nvidia GT 640 2GB, after so many things I have done with no results, I went to the Nvidia website and search for drives in their website ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cuda-5.0.59-driver.html ) and downloaded the cuba driver, and installed it and I have this so far for 4 days and more than 20 restarts, repairs permissions and install programs, and no issues so far...Before was a nightmare.
I wanna share this with you, to help you with the frustration with this Boot problems and save you some time:thumbup:

I posted here the configuration file for MultiBeast, that I use for this motherboard, you can do a fresh install ( I did again after my configuration was done) and if you use the latest MultiBeast 7.xx the audio could not work, and then after you can run again MultiBeast 6.5.0 with is the mavericks edition and Install JUST the audio drivers and its going to work.
Im not sure if another motherboards with GT 640 2 Gb does the same Boot problems, maybe its an combination with this Video/MOBO, but the funny part is that in Mavericks this Video works "out of the box" meaning no need to install drivers, and with Yosemite looks the same but in my case were the cause of all booting problems.

This is what you see in the link for the Nvidia Cuba drivers

Nice find. I have an Asus made Nvidia GeForce 640 graphic card, but 1 GB. I noticed I have the "blank" screen, no signal to the monitor problem. One way I can get back in is by booting to an installation disk. Then change one of the 3 values UseKernelCache, GraphicsEnabler, IGPEnabler in the chameleon plist. This was annoying.

After I installed the Cuda driver, I've tested rebooting 10 times. I went to "white screen" twice, and the other 8 times booted into the login screen. So while it hasn't worked 100% on mine, it is more manageable.

Much thanks to helmerpiloto.

BTW, I set my audio to play through my HDMI, and it works.

I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF, i5 (HD2500 internal graphics disabled).

The CUDA driver has little to do with anything unless you're running CUDA-enabled apps. I don't see any mention of the "GraphicsEnabler=No" boot flag in your post, do you have that flag in your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist file? It is necessary for all Nvidia Kepler cards (including the GT 640).

FYI, I have the following values in my org.chameleon.Boot.plist:
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>IGPEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>

Before I install Cuda, I would have to toggle (doesn't matter if yes or no values) these values GraphicsEnabler, IGPEnabler or UserKernCache. Since the Cuda driver installation, I've been booting fine with occasional hanging at a white screen. But a quick power down/up would boot back in.
