Hi guys,

I'm well aware of the success of the UD7-TH, however it is a very expensive board over here (UK) and I was therefore wondering, given the fact that the new line of CPUs have been out for a while -

What is the most compatible Z97 motherboard?

Of course, by this I mean which board requires the least amount of ball-ache when one wishes to install OS X Mavericks?

Any board announced in buying guide.. All of them can be easily installed using multibeast.

For example: ASUS Z97M-PLUS

Thank you for the reply, and no need to apologise your english is better than mine and I'm from England!!!

I'm fully aware that the Z87 boards are more compatible at the moment, but I really don't see the point of buying old technology especially with the new 4790K CPU being out.

I'm really after a Gigabyte board as well if I'm completely honest.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I have the GA-Z97X-UD5H with the 4790k, and once I updated the BIOS it has run awesomely

I just ordered up a Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK (black edition for the swag)...

Coupled it with Devils Canyon i7 4790k & a 780 Ti.

I need the machine for my studio - if it all goes well I'll post a thread in the builds section

not sure why need Z series motherboard, as far as i know they are built for OC,
i am not ocing so can i get a H or a B series?

those Z series are expensive in my country, would like to save more on the cpu itself like 4790k 4.0ghz

Z97 is not about the OC;

think about Sata Express and support for latest CPUs.

4790K will not work out of the box with H87. you might need an older CPU in order to flash the latest firmware first and then install the 4790K
