Hello
i need to buy a new bluetooth 4.0 dongle. Actually i'm on 10.9.4 yet but can you suggest me a 4.0 BT dongle compatible with Handoff features of yosemite? Thanks!

Handoff is a feature available in OS X Yosemite and it only seems to work at the moment on real Macs with built-in Bluetooth, so there is no info yet on 3rd party Bluetooth solutions that work in the same way. OS X Yosemite is still in beta, so that's all that can be said at this time.

ok but if i buy a BCM94360CD (Wifi + BT card present in apple macs 2013) with a Mini-PCIE to PCIE adapter, it will definitely work?

Though normal dongles don't seem to work, this might as it contains a BCM20702 combined wifi/BT card from Apple but just has the BT portion connected. So if you already have a good supported wifi "n" or higher then maybe this might work…….in combination to give all the features of handoff etc. Perhaps a reasonable solution for laptops or mini ITX builds where a full card adapter to convert the whole of the Apple combo card interface would not fit.
Don't take this as me saying that it will work however, as I haven't seen any evidence yet to say that and it is possible that Apple may only allow handoff where BT via USB is "built-in", but as some of the solutions that do work with the combo cards seem to rely on routing the BT part via a separate USB port then I think this at least deserves considering as a possible work around.
