Had the issue of the corded Apple KB not responding when coming out of the sleep state until I unplugged and then plugged the KB back into USB port (using 2.0 port).

Replaced the DSDT file with the beta DSDT file targeted for my MB. Now I can no longer enter the sleep state. When I attempt to go into sleep the screen momentarily goes blank, there is a brief bit of hard drive activity and the Hackintosh resumes normal operation.

Never had a sleep problem prior to this. Put the original DSDT file back but still no sleep state. Note running Lion 10.7.3.

Any suggestions?

Got sleep to now work reliably. Using pmset I set the hibernatemode argument to 3; the ttyskeepawake argument to 0; and the powerbutton argument to 1 (in case I want to use the power button to enter sleep mode). Also discovered that if the Chrome browser is running it will prevent sleep state from being entered.

Occasionally, a background process (or processes) might be running that will prevent entering the sleep state. You can quickly find out the pid's for these states by running the pmset -g command and looking at the displayed sleep argument. The culprit pid's will be displayed in parenthesis on the sleep argument line. You can then kill these arguments and enter the sleep state.

Hope this helps anyone having problems with sleep.
