Hello, I have a setup with MB Abit IX38 Quad GT, Q6600 @ 3200 CPU, 8800 GTS 512, SSD Drive.

I use OS X on this system since 10.5.2 and it worked great, vanilla installation and any FakeSMC and AppleRTC usually needed, plus chameleon boot loader.
I don't have SpeedStep enabled (because OC) so other kexts like Disabler are not needed for me.

Now I use 10.7.1 and it also works great.

The one thing I really really wanted all this time is the sleep function. For that I need a working DSDT.aml.

I booted my system from a Linux Mint 11 Live CD, first I tested that sleep works perfect under Linux and it does. All the drivers were working perfectly on this Live CD session.

I extracted the dsdt.aml and decompiled with iasl, so I have the .dsl file too.

The think is that now I'm stuck, editing the dsdt is beyond my powers :)

So my question is, can someone help me make my dsdt work ?

Thank you !

try a program called DSDTautopatcher............google it...

DSDTpatcher...........DSDTSE...............

I have tried it, it does not enable my system sleep and other functions. I have a DSDTSE too but I have no idea how it's working, although I read tons of tutorials. It's beyond my brain capabilities to understand how to.

you'll be right.all you need to do is double click it and you can read whats set in it.and just close it.sleep is a varied issue with everyone man its just a matter of finding out what works for you...some boards for example wont sleep properly at all.some dont wake up..some need chimera some dont..thats why its really a neccessity to have a backup,so you dont have to reinstall everything while experimenting and findind out what works best for you..then you can clone good partition back to first partition on drive anytime;the best way is to clone your basic install to a partition after your first and then play with that one to sort things out and then do what works to your first partition and then delete experimental at the end of your drive..have you looked in userbuilds to see if anyone has your setup, they are best to advise how they got it enabled.................

I just picked up this motherboard with a core 2 duo processor with GTS 8800 video card. Thinking about putting hackintosh on it-- was install pretty easy for you? And does the board run fast under osx? Have you tried the iLife suite, imovie, etc.? Thanks for your time.
