Happy new year to all!

I been working like crazy to solve this USB port problem... I have a GA-Z97X-UD7 TH, on clover and 10.11.1. It's very stable, fast and I never needed to used DSDT with previous OSx.

I've update my hack before the holidays and I expected to find a solution to fix the USB ports. I've spend my holiday trying all kind of way to do it with no success at all becuz the DSDT never did compile anyway.

I need 3 external USB drive to be working right away, otherwise I got to get back to yosomite... hope I won't regret this OS update. I'm not sure to fully understand how to compile or script DSDT but I do understand how it need to be and setup to work inside clover.

Here my file with the patch apply for my mobo.
Any help would be simply be amazing !!

What patch are you trying to apply?

http://pjalm.com/repos/
Patch Name : Z97X-UD7-TH
Patch Version : 1.0

With this patch I get 1 error.
DSDT generated by MacISAL with no patchs got 15 errors.

It seem to be very close to be working but again you're the expert !
I appreciate this help.

thank man

What problem are you trying to correct with ACPI patches?

I don't know.

Sorry this anwser is looping back to my initial post.
- I got 1 error now instead of 15 errors.
- error is : ''Syntax error, unexpected $end and premature End-of-file''.

This is what I wish to do for now, compile a DSDT to fix USB. That's it.
I'm working on this for the last 6 days... it's a puzzle I can't fully understand.
I don't really know if this patch is needed or important ?

I read on a post to use this patch so the DSDT for this mobo will be acurate. I'm newbie to DSDT and patch so I don't know of need to patch anything. It's very hard to get educated right for hackintosh, it's not a complain, it's a fact there is so much posts, so much options that it give a very high learning curve for newbies.

I appreciate any tips.
thank.

I don't know.

Why are you patching ACPI when you have no specific problem to solve?

For USB fixes, patching ACPI on disk is not needed. You can do everything with config.plist only.

much easier to fix 1 errors instead of 15, don't you think ? ;)

the point is to fix my USB port on EL Cap.
This is the only thing worth all efforts.
Compile DSDT is just one step in theses efforts.

I've spend so much time on this to get so close, this is very hard to know I fail at this point.
I understand your focus on the 'reasons' why but I'm not able to argue on that.

I should probably trash all my OSX and install back Yosomite, this would be smarter when it took 1 days to do instead of almost 6 days on trying to get USB ports...:banghead: I'm not sure this help me to evolve my learning skill of hakintosh, not sure it's a good thing to leave things unsolved.

thank for you time

config.plist. used for Fixing USB ??

Can you explain ? or link to post solution ?
