Hey there,

I'm having some trouble with my USB audio devices: a Blue Snowball mic and a Logitech Webcam.

A couple months ago when I setup my hackintosh, they worked like a charm. However, ever since I installed my USB 3.0 drivers, the Blue Snowball mic wouldn't work and I was forced to use my webcam on the USB 2.0 ports.

A couple days ago, I set out to fix this. I found a different AppleUSBAudio.kext online, tried it, and ended up worse (no Snowball or Webcam mic). I tried reverting back to the old AppleUSBAudio.kext, but to my surprise nothing came back. I tried reinstalling the original Mountain Lion kext, as well as removing/reinstalling the USB 3.0 GenericUSB kext, but nothing's worked. I never lost access to video on my webcam.

I tried installing the DSDT for my Z77X-UD5H motherboard
, however this didn't fix my USB audio nor sleeping issues (however it did fix my iPhone's charging problem)

This is the DSDT MaciASL guide I used:

Any ideas?

Hey there sman591! I've come across this issue myself on the same motherboard. The only USB audio device that works for me is the Logitech C920 webcam. I have a plethora of other devices that just don't work (Blue Snowball, Monoprice mixer, etc.) :( Would you be so kind as to share what fix you applied to make the USB audio work? Thank you sir!

Can you share how you fixed the issue?

Thanks!
