Good Day to you all good people.

First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Kris I'm from UK and I'm thinking about converting my Windows PC in to the Hackintosh. I have read through Buyers guide and it has answered a lot of my questions but I still would like to post here my Rig and ask some additional questions regarding comparability.

I have pretty much completed my rig and the only thing missing is GPU and I would like to know your opinion if this GPU will work MAC OS X

So the Rig:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K http://www.scan.co.uk/products/inte...z-base-39ghz-turbo-1200mhz-gpu-84w-cpu-retail

Mother-Board: MSi Z97M-G43 (mATX) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-...-crossfirex-d-sub-displayport-dvi-d-hdmi-uatx

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB DDR3 1600MHz http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-...1600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-xmp-15v

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-...014-sata-6gb-s-7200rpm-64mb-cache-8ms-ncq-oem

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/250g...nd-512mb-cache-read-540mb-s-write-520mb-s-97k

PSU: Chieftec Fully Modular 750W - It's about 6 years old and I'm unable to locate the exact model
:|

GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 970 Gaming - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-...r5-gpu-1140mhz-boost-1279mhz-cores-1664-dp-hd

Because of my PC's location I'm also using this Wi-Fi dongle - I think this is what might be causing an issue BT Dual-Band Wi-Fi Dongle http://www.shop.bt.com/products/bt-dual-band-wi-fi-dongle-600-8W45.html

The above Wi-FI dongle doesn't support plug-and play and Drivers have to be manually installed.

One more thing: I don't have access to Mac or Hackintosh to create a bootable USB containing the OS, is it possible to do this virtually? so I set up a virtual machine running OS X Yosemite in Virtual Box and using this VM I create a bootable USB Flash Drive?

Best Regards,
Kris

The GTX 970 will work after you install the Nvidia web drivers.

It's against the site rules http://www.tonymacx86.com/faq.php to make your Unibeast drive in a
VM so don't do that if you want to get support here. If you have absolutely no access to a Mac
then buy a copy of Snow Leopard, retail disk, and install via the iBoot method.

Thanks trs,
sorry I should have known this.

any advice on that bt wi-fi dongle?

I would get the Gmyle Bluetooth dongle from the Buyers Guide.
Very inexpensive and works great.

For wifi a PCI-e card is always going to give you the best
reception/speed. TP-Link is the top choice there.
