Will HX650 substitute for newer power supply?

Hi,

I have a 4-year old MacPro hackintosh and am looking to update. I'm having some trouble getting the fresh El Capitan install to work (To see the specific problem I've run into see this forum post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-4790k-fresh-el-capitan-install-problems.html). To keep costs down, I tried using my previous power supply--a Corsair 650W, instead of buying a new one that's recommended on the buyer's guide.

I didn't think the power supply would be too finicky, but is it possible that the HX650W is no longer supported for some reason and that I need to buy an RM650 or AX760?

I think you are OK with the HX650 - list says it is Haswell compatible.
