Im novice to the community and looking to build a raid file server hackintosh. After comparing and researching parts I see that I may be over killing this thing for its actual use.
specs:
GB Mobo with thunderbolt 2 (want to connect as a DAS and a NAS)
i5 processor
16 gb memory
couple of SSD's to start.
The question is am I over killing on the RAM and processor? I really want the thunderbolt 2 speeds and want to make sure I don't short the hardware to achieve this.
Just looking for general advice on this as the current specs I hat cost around $1200 so this is possibly overkill.
thank you so much
