I already posted in other topics about this...how will the admins of this forum handle this situation? Can we know discuss the installation of yosemite on our systems?

Also, for people want to participate in the public beta, go here:

Although it seems to many with all of the PR that Apple has coordinated today as if the public beta is a general release, it's limited to participants of the AppleSeed beta program which is under a very similar NDA as the Developer Program.

We're sorry for any inconvenience, but the site's policy must stand. We won't not be allowing discussion forums, guides, install procedures, screenshots, etc. until the general release in the Fall.

The NDA is essentially irrelevant now that WWDC sessions are public, and you are allowed to talk about anything Apple has made public. Apple hasn't done takedown notices on screenshots since the ThinkSecret days.

It's your site and your rules, of course, but I just find it a bit funny that you are far more restrictive on this than MacRumors, and the whole point of this site hinges upon breaking Apple's EULA...

From the Apple Beta FAQ:
Is the pre-release software I am installing confidential?
Yes, the pre-release software is Apple confidential information. For example, don’t install the pre-release Apple software on any systems you don't directly control or that you share with others, don’t blog, post screen shots, tweet or publicly post information about the pre-release Apple software, and don't discuss the pre-release Apple software with or demonstrate it to others who are not in the OS X Beta Program. For clarity, if Apple has publicly disclosed technical information about the pre-release software then it is no longer considered confidential.

I think it is great to open the beta to more testers, best way to find bugs. I have been using it and it works as well as Windows ever has. I only issue I've found consistently is with Safari. I have not been able to test the integration with iOS8 since I'm not part of that beta program.

I really find myself missing Yosemite when I use my other computer. I was not that optimistic that Apple could pull such a big update off, but having used now!.

Apple is doing to Microsoft on the desktop what Apple did to RIM in the smart phone market.

I've not managed to get it to successfully install on my hack, but then it took some effort to get it on my wife's genuine Macbook for some reason. After my IT classes are over in a couple of weeks I will likely give up on installing it on a second drive and simply make the plunge as my primary.
