Attempted using this guide:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

Okay so here is where I stand. Keep in mind that I can boot with the same media set with Unibeast no problem.

Before I attempted ANY of this, here is what I did.

1. Booted into BIOS
2. Load optimized defaults
3. ECHI Handoff Enabled (tried disabled as well, no difference)
4. Made sure ACHI was set and HPET was enabled
5. Turned "Secure Boot" to "Other OS" (tried Windows as well, no difference)
6. Set All boot options to boot UEFI first.

Here is what I attempted:

Attempt 1:

Same settings as in Post 1 to make Install Media, however I tried "Install to UEFI Only" first option. Setup config per standard config and edited to add my ROM and MLB values. Set kexts based on instructions. Disabled Intel injection as I am using a native 660 Ti. Rebooted. Brought up boot menu via F8, selected USB stick (UEFI version). Screen flashes what looks like a menu for half a second and reboots (non successful boot). Attempted to boot the non UEFI version as well, same thing happens.

Attempt 2:

Same settings as in Post 1 to make Install Media, however I tried "Install to UEFI Only" first option AND "Install in ESP".

Attempt 3:

Same settings as in Post 1 to make Install Media, used the EXACT SAME SETTINGS as is listed. Setup config per standard config and edited to add my ROM and MLB values. Set kexts based on instructions. Rebooted. Brought up boot menu via F8, selected USB stick (UEFI version). Screen flashes what looks like a menu for half a second and reboots (non successful boot). Attempted to boot the non UEFI version as well, same thing happens.

Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated. As I said, I can use Unibeast just fine on this system, even booted into the Yosemite Installer fine with the same media as a Unibeast drive. I just NEED iMessage for my day to day business and interaction with clientele.

Thoughts?

For all of those following along, I noticed when picking this up again that there is now a new version of clover (2976). After making the USB stick with that, it now boots to the boot menu. I can boot to my existing Mavericks install just fine and everything works after a few minor configurations (adding SSDT). I tried to boot the Yosemite installer and I get a Do-Not-Enter sign.

Verbose mode shows "Still waiting on root device" before handing a hard freeze with jumbled text.

I have attached my EFI folder for review.

Any tips?

I'm sure toleda is using this board and can probably offer the most help. Please try the attached EFI folder with Yosemite. I did make a few assumptions: Booting UEFI. Your MB Bios is patched so I removed null, if it's not I think Clover will patch it. It's unlikely you need all those dsdt patches in the config.plist so I removed all of them. Clover will assign the SMBios it believes is correct for the platform so I removed that section in config (probably iMac13.2 although Macmini6.2 would be better for PM). Hope it works for you...

Also if you have a working DSDT put it here:

I really really appreciate this, however, I installed with the "Legacy" guide that Tony made. Therefore my EFI folder is on the root of the drive. I also HEAVILY modified the config.plist since you played off of the one it seems you grabbed (I edited the attachment - take a look in the previous post). However, I will try to use your config and see what happens here.

**EDIT** Same issue. Also, why did you take out al the UUID and serial information? Won't I need that for iMessage?
See attached for error.

See attached for error.
Can't read the screenshot.
Major issue: mixed graphics - HD3000/7 Series motherboard
Best fix is a dsdt edit, see HD3000/7series, Post #1, Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA
Apply MaciASL/HD3000 repo/Patch/AMI-7series-MEI_Fix

A couple of suggestions:
config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/DropOem/NO
kexts/10.10/AppleIntelE1000e.kext (my Z77I has Intel) - Delete RealtekRTL81xx
kexts/10.10/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext - Delete

Yep you will but if you boot without SMBios in config Clover will determine what it believes is correct and then can rebuild the SMBios based on that model.

kexts/10.10/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext - Delete

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try that tonight.

As far as reading the screen, it gives a couple USB errors, then a Bluetooth error, then it hangs for about 30 seconds, the "No Entry" sign comes up, and will jumble the text. The last line looks like a garbled "still waiting for root device".

I tried NOT dropping the SSDT, but if I don't drop it, I get a P-stepper error and a kernel panic. I used my SSDT which worked in Mavericks and it got me past that point.

My fault - I forgot that the Asus board has intel, I will try that. I will also delete NullCPU.

What if I am not injecting Intel? I am using a dedicated nVidia card, would that be the issue for booting into the installer? Like I said, my Mavericks boots perfect 100% with the config in post 5. Would I really need a DSDT for a board that I am not using that graphics on?

One thing I *did* notice, was that when booting verbose, it says "expected UUID: B892319 (etc)" on the kernel load before loading the "main" loader. That is not my UUID, so is this where the problem comes from? It is the same UUID every time, but it seems with an empty config, it loads a different UUID every time (at least it seemed to when I booted to Mavericks... I got the "You have signed in to iMessage from a new device email about 6-7 times").
