Hi all,

I made a Dell XPS 420 into a mackintosh that I've been running fine with Chameleon, but Clover is giving me headaches. I made my Mavericks USB drive, loaded clover and installed, rebooted off my USB key but cannot see my new OSX partition.

I inserted a USB Drive with Chameleon on it and it boots fine. If I try to install Clover to the HDD when in OSX, it appears to work, but when I reboot. I don't get any Clover GUI. Instead, I get a text based menu (Continue, Boot Options, etc.)

When I re insert my Clover USB, I do get the full GUI, but I only see my OSX Installer, not my installed OSX partition.

Ideas? This is driving me insane

I did make sure to install RC scripts on the HD, but that didn't help.

Did you add DSDT to your clover partition and edit the config properly? That seems to be the biggest thing also making a proper clover boot usb as well.

My DSDT is being loaded. I made my config with Clover Configurator (see attached)

Can anyone please take a look?
Thanks,

Update profile with hardware info.
System = mainboard, rest should be obvious.

Done. I plan on getting a more compatible system soon, but this is what I'm working with now.

I fixed it. I had to change the 64 BIT SATA option in the Clover install to BiosBlockIO.

Boots fine now

Similar situation to the OP, but a tad worse. I made it through the two part installation process with Yosemite and Clover. Upon booting the third time, and choosing the SSD where I installed, it failed to find boot media for the SSD, and showed the USB installer alone. This seemed strange so I booted a couple more times to the same result, eventually, after taking out the USB key and putting it back in, I am greeted to a message saying there is no boot media available at all. I can't even reach my UEFI by holding the key. This message overrides everything so now I'm completely locked out of everything.

turns out my mobo was acting up, and I had lost support for like...everything, including USB. I took out the CMOS battery and got everything back to where it was before: The SSD install of Yosemite is not being recognized (although back in the USB installer in Disk Utility I can see that it is mounted and formatted. Hrmmmm. Do I need to recreate the clover USB key with different settings? I chose the Legacy settings for my Z87N-wifi per the directions, and used a config.plist for "HD 4600 fix" from Tony's Mavericks Clover guide. That all sound right?

I have same issue but I do not have this option in clover menu unless it is a boot argument.
please let me know.

Thanks
