Hey there,

At first I have to say, that I'm absolutely new to the Hackintosh topic, so basically I don't have any experience with installing MacOS X to another computer, than a Mac. Basically I also have an one year old iMac, which is working like a charm, but I also have some "obsolete" hardware here, which would be perfect, if I can use it with MacOS again.

So I simply give you a list of 3 devices, where i would have the option to install MacOS X:

- Zotac ZBOX SD-ID10 (completely obsolete, if MacOS won't work, maybe I will install XBMC with OpenELEC only to have an AirPlay-Receiver ;) )
Intel HD Graphics and Atom D510, 4 GB RAM

- Xtreamer Ultra
Basically this is my HTPC with OpenELEC running fine on it. If MacOS X would work there, it would be interesting to have Dual-Boot (OpenELEC on an PCI-E SSD and MacOS X on a normal 2.5" HDD, choosing the Dual-Boot through the BIOS)

- HP Compaq 2510p
Yes it is a notebook, and sorry to post it in the Desktop section, but i prefered to not start another topic. Getting MacOS X running on this notebook would be the perfect mobile solution, and so maybe this is the highesty "priority" ;)
Core 2 Duo - Ultra Low Voltage, Mobile Intel GM965, Intel GMA 3100, actually 2 GB RAM (maybe I'll update to 4 GB if MacOS will run on it)

Basically I already tried UniBiest with Mountain Lion, the stick was successfully generated, but I wasn't able to boot into the setup on any of these machines. Maybe they are all just too underpowered, but I thought, I would give it a try and ask the Forum ;)

So do you see any chance to install MacOS (10.7 or 10.8) to one of these machines?

Thanks in advance :)

Cheers Hirschi

Atom CPU is not supported in OSX so the first and second computer can be ruled out.

Integrated graphics on the third computer is not supported in OSX and the audio, ethernet and WiFi are all unknown factors so I think the third computer can also be ruled out.

Thanks for your answer, I thought that already, but found some forum entries, with HowTo's to install OSx86 on special Atom-Hardware, really specific mainboards. I think that is a special hack, but unfortunately I don't understand how to do that for my hardware.

Anyway, most important to me is my old Subnotebook 2510p, the cheapest "MacBook-Alternative" for me ;) So if anybody finds this thread searching for 2510p, I found a HowTo at insanelymac which describes on how to install Lion on it. Unfortunately I'll first have to get Lion with the rescue partition out of my iMac before I can test it, but here's the link for anybody interested:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283939-hp-2510p-guide/

Basically I would prefer Mountain Lion, but that won't work with the offered files there. I think I'll have to read myself into Hackintosh a little bit more ;) Thanks anyway!

Regarding the HP2510p, care to share the details of your Lion setup (kexts, multibeast settings, etc.)?

I just did a fresh Lion installation, had some problems and decided to test a 10.8 installation. Got the HP to boot 10.8.2 in save mode, unfortunately w/o sound, network and proper graphics.

My plan is to tighten and document the Lion setup first and the work on the Lion problems.

Thanks in advance!
