Well I didn't say it would not work, just would be wastefull but if thats what you want there is no issue using it as they do fit together.
There is no PC mobos with TB 2.0
There isn't anything with TB 2.0 yet, quite frankly. The suppository-shaped Mac Pro is the first machine that will have TB 2.0 and it's not even released yet.
TB 1.0 is enough for me. I have an 8-drive TBolt array and TB 1.0 has been plenty fast enough to handle it. Just want a smaller system hook it up to (and yet still have a fast gfx card).

I have been stalking this board for a while now since I first spotted the french write up.
The expected release was quoted as sometime in the summer (!), so hopefully soon.
I have done a few Zotac builds (an old 775 board when they were the first to integrate wifi on an ITX and then the Z77) and they have a good record of being hack friendly (they even modified the last bios of the Z77 board on request by CodeRush to make a power patch not necessary).
