Hi,
I have the following setup:
Z97X-UD7 TH
i7 4790K
GTX660
Which works top, no problems whatsoever. I enabled thunderbolt in windows, and the only device i could test it with was a motu 828mk3 audio interface (firewire) which i connected via an Apple thunderbolt to firewire adapter. That worked fine.
So now i just bought the new 34" display from LG which has thunderbolt 2 just like my mobo.
Even though it works fine via DP i'd like to connect it via TB.
I disabled the IGP in the bios because I have a dedicated 660.
I'm not sure if it's possible, but i'd like to connect the LG to my mono via TB without having to enable the IGP.
In other words can the LG use the 660 while it's connected to TB on the mobo?
And if so... how come it don't work?
any pointers, tips, suggestions?
