Hey,

So after all the upgrades to my own computer, I handed down my wife's old computer to my mum...and hackified it.

It seems that everything is working so far except...Wifi/Bluetooth

Now, I know from researching this that the Intel Wifi that comes with the board is not compatible. This:

What I would like to do is replace this with a working model. Ideally it would allow Handoff and such, but at the bare minimum I need Wifi working.

Could you please recommend a Wifi module that would work with this board and is supported?

...

Additional Issues / Questions

- How it is that the GTX 780 is working on three monitors without the Nvidia drivers? I thought they were required to run?

- Using Clover Configurator, how can I have the boot menu skip right to booting macOS? (my mum will be confused).

You haven't posted any info about the specs/model of your Wife's old computer. That would be helpful to list that.

The only thing that really matters here is the Motherboard. I need an alternative to the Intel module that comes stock. The rest is all standard stuff.

Thank you...reading now.

So it sounds like you found one that works with a little adapter. Just to confirm - and for those coming across this post - you got the following:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L35XSMS/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-Broa...-E-WiFi-WLAN-Bluetooth-4-0-Card-/251723761338

If this is correct, awesome!

Unfortunately I can't seem to find anyone that will ship it to Canada. :/

This module seems to be the one that comes on many Wifi cards - Including the one I have in my computer I think. Would it be feasible to purchase a wifi card and just pull the module off?

No, the iMac Broadcom BCM94360CD card has a different interface than your Intel WiFi/BT card. Thus, you need the adapter card.

Ya. That is why I was thinking I could look for a more readily available Wifi card - the ones that come with antennas and such - and then remove the Wifi module and put it in an adapter. The problem I am having is that finding the separate module in Canada is costly or not available.

The completed cards on the other hand are much easier to get/find.

For example. There is one on Ebay for $53 CDN - Broadcom BCM943602CS 802.11AC WiFi+Bluetooth 4.0 PC Desktop WLAN Card for Mac OS - Which looks like I can just disconnect the module and put it into an adapter. Ships to Canada.
