Hey,

I'm quite new on hackintosh, and I've successfully install High Sierra on my desktop 6 month ago.
For now, all worked pretty well, except when I tried to boot on a RTX ... After 1 hour, I finally read all the thread talking about no compatibility...

  • Description of audio problem
Anyway, for now I got an 1080Ti for testing, and I have something wired :
Spotify & other sounds work great on my jack-linked speakers (2.1).
But all sound from macOS output on my screen (who as crippy sound..)
I tried to change output source and with SoundControl.app without success.

I read lot of things about Lilu.kext, AppleHDA & other, but don't understand what to try with my Z97 motherboard.

I join my MultiBeast configuration.

Thanks a lot in advance.

ALC892 audio is configured properly and working
What speaker is connected to what motherboard audio port?
But all sound from macOS output on my screen (who as crippy sound..)
What audio device is the "screen?"
I tried to change output source and with SoundControl.app without success.
Why?

2.1 Philips speakers to input jack port, the green one.

Because it's installed from lot of time, and it offer me the possibility to change an output for 1 app only if needed.
I try because maybe I have done something wrong long time ago.

Green is an output, not input
Sound, y/n?

Benq has "crippy sound?," y/n
Benq does not use ALC892
it offer me the possibility to change an output for 1 app only if needed.
macOS does the same, natively

Ok yeah, mistake.
The sound of Spotify out great on this output

Yes, because it's a screen.
The sound output from my graphic card by HDMI, but I just don't want any sound output by HDMI, only by my jack.
macOS does the same, natively
Not from Pref System app. Where can I do that ?

Of my f***** god, that was just that....

Thanks toleda!

And for your question, via SoundControl I can, for example, output spotify on one out, and chrome on an other. Very useful in certain cases.
