Thinking we'll see PCI-e TB cards in the near future. Needless to spend that kind of money on MB's.

The issue with a full feature TB card is that it needs Diaplay Port. That's not available on the bus and requires a loop back from either an internal DP port or one on a card in the system. Asus showed one at Computech in 2012 with an estimated price of UU$200. Not such a deal if one is buying a new board in the first place. I don't believe it ever made it to market.

The TB chip sets are expensive though there are reports Intel will incorporate TB into the board chip set so the technology can be more affordable.
