those kernel panics were giving me headaches too. i seemed to find a way to get passed them by:
1. Power off the machine
2. unplug THunderbolt display powercord and TB cord.
3. wait about 15 seconds and plug the monitors cables all back in
4. power up the computer.
i think my kp's had something to say about IO error blah blah bluetooth blah -
after power cycling the monitor it seemed to fix it.
now if only i could fix my brightness keys from sleeping my display ::AHHH!!::
