I am using F8 bios.

I got my Z77X-UD5H / 3770K / HD6870 working using this walk through:

I also updated the BIOS to F8. I had issues, but after doing that, I ran Onyx and rebuilt/verified/cleared everything and that seemed to do the trick. This was upgrading a cloned drive.

Cant get audio to work

Hey man,
How did u manage to get the audio to work on the Z77 ud5h?
Have tried heaps of different settings and just cant seem to get it to work.

Check repair permission
Check Non_DSDT HDAEnabler in Kexts &Enablers > Audio > Realtek ALC8xx

so it is recognised but no sound

kk so i can now see the audio devices and it can detect when i put headphones in and all that jazz except no sounds comes out.

don't know if this applies but in my case the right ouput was not selected in the sound preference pane...
