You would have to know that the HD3000 has this issues... simply, buy a dedicated graphics card.

I didn't knew it was that bad !
 
Did you change the BIOS for HD 3000?

I am using HD 3000 on-board, Integrated Graphics, I had to set one Advanced BIOS Features parameter - On-Chip Frame Buffer Size. I had >8GB RAM, so I set it at 480MB+2MB for GTT.

Yup, since I have 16Gb of ram I did that... And still...

I concur.


This happens occasionally with HD3000. One of the few reasons to get oneself a separate video card, and ditch the cpu-graphics.

For the record: No one knows why it excactly happens. So a new bios or dsdt will most likely not help.
