new egg has this new Z590 available: https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-maximus-xiii-hero/p/N82E16813119366

Safe to assume this MB will be compatible with Open core, correct? Also I heard these new 590 boards are backwards compatible to the 10th gen intel, I’m still not sure if I’m getting the 10900 or waiting for a similar 11th gen.

Don't be so sure about MacOS support for newer (than 10th generation) Intel hardware.

It seems that the 11th generation CPUs are of a different architecture from the 10th generation, and MacOS may not work (or with difficulties) on it. The Apple Silicon transition probably indicates that Apple may not update MacOS Intel any further to support new Intel hardware.

Pairing a Z590 motherboard with a 10th generation CPU may work as the CPU is known to work, probably some adventurous soul will tell us soon.

Most importantly compatible with macOS. I would study what changes Intel is making with the Z590 chipset. I don't think Apple will use anything similar to that in the new iMacs. The Mac Pro may get an intel refresh this year but that is a completely different animal than the iMac.

I will search on the forum
