First New, still got it up and running (at a very slow pace:beachball: for today)
It is one of the most beautiful designs ever (thanks Mr Ive:thumbup:).
I do not know if I would stay a Hackintosher if Apple put a similar model on the shelves again:).

My first was an Apple IIe with an 80 column card, modem, and 2 disk drives and a MT-1602 Mannesmann Tally dot matrix printer.
The IIe cost $2294 which is $5286 in 2013 money. The printer including a Grappler card, cost another $526.
I purchased the IIe from a Philadelphia department store, Strawbridge and Clothier.

The internet was in it’s infancy.

Mine was an EasyData 486 with Windows '95 installed. Wanted to get on
the internet with it but the dial up was so slow it was a painful experience.
Was probably not the best way to spend $1500 back in the day.

Commodore 64 with 2 floppy drives. Put one on top of the other and used cutoff pencils to seperate (for air flow). I had hundreds of floppy disks with games, programs, utilities, etc. This was back in 1983, don't know what I did with it when I moved up to an Amiga 500 in 1990.

OK, I'm dating myself...

IMSAI 8080
Apple II with CP/M
Macintosh 512k
Macintosh Plus with 10gig Hyperdrive
Intel 386 with Win 2.0
Atari 1040ST
SGI Indigo2 (4)
SGI Indy (5)
Win-Intel (10 or so over the years)
Macs (dozens over the years) including
IIx, PB180, IIci, Quadra 950 (4), Quadra 650 (3)
Power Mac 6100 (3), 7600 (2), PB-Lombard, PB_Titanium, iMac Intels (5)

Everything (except the early Win-Intel machines and one Q950) still functional today.
Wanna buy an old computer???

My first computer was an Amiga 500. The second one was an Amiga 1200 and thanks to this computer + a Blizzard 1230 expansion card (68030 CPU + 4MByte RAM) + a 68k Macintosh emulator (called ShapeShifter) I made the first contact with the Apple systems (and this config performed very well with the System 7 OS :) ).

My first was a self-assembled Radio-86RK back in 1991, soon replaced with a ZX Spectrum. 2 years later I built my first PC, 386dx40, and another 6 years later moved to the Apple land, starting with blue&white G3 powermac.

Now, 15 years and several macs later, I'm growing discontent with the limitations of the platform and about to build my first hack instead of replacing old Mac Pro with a new one.
