Ive now also tried various Clover boot flags, ATI=True, AtiConfig=, FBName=Aji etc. No luck.

Ive disabled Integrated Intel Graphics in bios as it wont boot without it disabled for some reason.

Any further help appreciated..

Apple TB display will not work connected to the mDP port on a PC GPU.
For further info see the WIKI on the TB display about compatibility -
"Apple Thunderbolt Displays, like the video input on Thunderbolt iMacs, drop compatibility with all previous standards, including VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort.[SUP][3][/SUP] They are not compatible with computers that do not have a Thunderbolt port, including pre-2011 Macs and the vast majority of PCs, due to its technological functions that are differential."

Hey Going Bald ( me too! ha )

Ok so does that mean if i get an X99 Mobo like these:

https://thunderbolttechnology.net/product/gigabyte-ga-x99-ud7-wifi
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5282#ov (UD5)

It should work?

Now that you mention it and after another quick search ive seen some hack's connecting the thunderbolt on the Mobo to the add on GPU also.

Greatly appreciated as ive been starting to pull my hair out on this one.. Seems i'll have to change my setup!

Might be worth making a bigger post about this somewhere as ive seen a few people having issues on threads with no responses to make it work!

Good catch, Going Bald. The ACD Thunderbolt Edition isn't compatible with mDP. So, no graphics card can directly interface with the OP's ACD. I confirmed this with eelhead who has a mDP ACD (pre TB ACD); he also said he tried a mDP connection with an TB ACD and exchanged it for the mDP ACD. (He lucked out that the timeframe was right at the model change over.)

Several of the ASUS Z97 motherboards are compatible with ASUS' Thunderbolt EXII PCI card > http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-h...ex-ii-pcie-expansion-card-testing-thread.html But, it looks like the ASUS TB card is not in stock/ production anymore.

Good Luck!

Thanks boys! (im assuming...?)

Ive sent back the Z97 and parts and now ordered Gigabyte X99 SOC Force / 5930k / Thunderbolt 2 dual port add ons etc..

That should do it! :) If it doesnt i give up...

Any luck with this?

I've been trying to get a pair of Sapphire R9 280X's to work with a 3440x1440 monitor (Dell U3415W Black 34" Curved LED) via Displayport - so that way I can get 60Hz instead of the 50Hz I'm am currently getting with HDMI...

I'm wondering if using Thunderbolt will miraculously make things work (I'm using an ASUS X99-A with a ThunderboltEX II Dual).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
