Hello,
It's makes several days now that all my attempts of installation of Yosemite 10.10.1 end in failure.
Any suggestion or return of experience is welcome!

I'm not a total beginner and all my previous experiences with an old DELL Core2Duo (SL, L, ML, M & Yosemite) end successfully but the HW is quite old now and take up much space.

The new hardware list is:
Intel Haswell NUC Model D54250WYKH
8Gb (2x4) G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 Ram (F3-1600C9D-8GRSL
OCZ Vertex460 120Go SSD (VTX460-25SAT3-120G)

Reference guide used is: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...e-intel-haswell-nuc-core-i5-d54250wyk-v2.html

Problems begin when I try to install Yosemite on the SSD with the USB installer.
USB installer is created with Unibeast 5.0.2 and modified with "NUC-Install-PackV5.6" (in the previous link):
- mach_kernel is placed in /S/L/Kernels,
- smbios.plist & org.chameleon.Boot.plist in /extra
and
HDAEnabler.dylib is removed

org.chameleon.Boot.plist is modified to set the followings values:
DropSSDT Yes

EthernetBuiltIn Yes
Graphics Mode 1920x1080x32
GraphicsEnabler No
IGPEnabler Yes

IGPlatformID 0D220003
Kernel mach_kernel
Kernel Flags -v
UseKernelCache No

I tried different alternate solutions but in the best case the result is the following:
system start, load all kexts to finally ends with a kernel panic:

(A lot of errors with some symbols)
Failed to load executable for kext es.osx86.driver.Ev0reboot
Kext es.osx86.driver.Ev0reboot failed to load (0xdc008016)
Failed to load es.osx86.driver.Ev0reboot (error 0xdc008016)
Couldn't alloc class "AppleACPIPlatformExpert"
Couldn't alloc class "es_osx86_Ev0reboot"
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x...): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\"./n"@SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2422.115.4/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1533

In my previous system such error occurs after an update and the removal of /S/L/E/AppleTyMCEDriver.kext solves the problem.

As alternate solution, I tried to identify similar trouble in discussions in the forum and tried to apply recommendations but without any success. I tried to remove each additionnal /extra/kext to try to identify the origin of the trouble but also without any success...

Thks.

Thank you very much minihack & wish you the best.
In fact my SSD was faulty and propagate to my NUC.

Now that I have a new NUC unit, I applied you suggested method. It seems to work.
By the way I had to reset Ethernet setting to point to en0 instead en1 (could't download @ app store without this modification)
Now, I have to:
- find why the embedded sound does not work,
- how to activate a wifi usb dongle.
- how to activate iMess & FaceTime.
