If i'm able to go for a MSI 760 GTX 2GB - Should it be okay? with Yosemite to?:)

I'm building my first mini-itx after a long time with a full-tower pc.

Totally worked for me. masoftware you're my hero!

Now, can you fix my internet/ethernet that worked before multibeast?

Phil

Hello.
When I installed Yosemite, my audio don't work.
I'll try to install driver of older version of Maveriks as you said in your post, but the problem persists.
Finally, I found the following solución that works for me:

Edit with "vi" this file:
sudo vi /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

Add into the "Kernel Flags" the parameter "kext-dev-mode=1" and let others parameters if exists.
My file looks as follow:

-----------------------------------------------------
?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>mbasd=1 kext-dev-mode=1</string>
</dict>
</plist>

-------------------------------------------------------

Save the file, and restart de machine.
When the system start up, enter to Control Panel, select audio, and then the correct device appears. Select the device and enjoy :)

Strange thing going on here.

Sabertooth x79 MB
Yosemite installed multibeast for drivers.

Everything went quite well, but the sound.

At the start I had nothing.

Then I installed with 892 driver (which is oké for this mb), it worked just fine.
Rebooted: didn't work. Installed with voodooHDA v0.2.1, worked just fine.
rebooted: didn't work ...

a lot of trial and errors later i downloaded the newest multibeast, installed the 892 driver with audio ID1 as optional setting.
=> worked fine yesterday all day. Rebooted a couple of times, and kept on working.

Today I boot and ... I only see 'digital outpout' ...

any ideas? Because I'm out of any :)

I fixed it yesterday.

I removed the voodoo.kext manually and redid the audio drivers via multibeast.

Worked like a charm!

i have edited this now 3 or 4 times but i just wanted to say that i have audio! i updated to 10.10.1 and then used the yosemite 7.1 multibeast and i DID NOT use the mavericks one at all, ALC892 totally worked for me on the latest apple update and the late multibeast. the rest of the settings are perfect.

thanks for the walk thru!

Worked for me on GA-X79-UP5, however with some changes:
- no 1920x1080x32 .. my monitor is larger so you get strange artefacts if you do and its not needed.
- Lan Driver AppleIntelE1000e v2.5.4d <- I tried a few but this one final worked!

So next my 780gtx TI .. lets look for solution.

You Rock!
I don't have the same build, and I've been have a frustrating time getting Yosemite to work for many days.
I followed your workflow exactly and it's working great!
Hopefully it still works after I migrate in my data!

Hmm.. It all worked so well until I migrated my user from 10.8
Now it doesn't boot up again. It just get's hung on the grey apple screen.
Any thoughts?

Looks promising :)
