Hello

I just did a Yosemite fresh-install on my computer. Almost everything looks fine except it reboots after mecanical hard drives spin-down: I can hear the HDD stopping and 5 to 10 seconds later my computer reboots!

If I disable hard drive sleep under the power-saving settings I do no suffer any reboot.

My hardware:

  • Intel i7 4790K
  • Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3
  • 32 Gb DDR3 from G.Skill (tested with memtest x86) @1866 MHz
  • Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256Mb
  • 2x WD sata harddrives

Multibeast options:
  • DSDT Free
  • Realtek ALC892 / Optional 3 ports / Audio ID: 2
  • 3rd party SATA and TRIM Enabler
  • FakeSMC / FakeSMC Plugins / HWMonitor App
  • USB 3.0 Universal
  • Realtek 8111
  • Basic boot options
  • GraphicsEnabler=Yes
  • Hibernate Mode - Desktop
  • KExt Dev Mode
  • iMac 14.1 definition

Any hint on how to solve this reboot issue welcome. I did not try to add Intel AHCI for series 9 as my Sata controller is recognised as Intel series 8.

Thanks

Do you need USB3.0 Universal (aka GenericUSBXHCI)? If you don't need it, remove it, as it's not recommended to run GenericUSBXHCI on Yosemite.

cheers!

I don't know if I need it in fact. I know this is not the root reason of my reboots as I installed it afterwards (my first multibeast install was minimalistic).

I will remove it (how? will multibeast uninstall it if I run it again and un-check it? or do I have to do it manually?) just to be sure and check if hardware see USB 3.0 ports.
