Sorry to bother again, @RehabMan, but after following your post on Y50, i installed voodoohda and now I regret it, is there a way to uninstall voodoo and get applehda to work again?

Remove anything related to VoodooHDA... You can see the (unsigned) kexts installed in Terminal:
Code:
sudo kextcache -i /

Thanks for your time but right now I keep on getting a error message saying applehda wasn't properly installed. So now I had to reinstall voodoo to get sound. How can I reinstall applehda for Y50 and where do I install it to? Also is there a way to patch applehda to get subwoofer working? I'm tired of voodoo:(

The Y50 has a guide.

Subwoofer is not supported with patched AppleHDA.

Is two finger swipe from left to right supported or able to be patched from voodoops2?

In my Synaptics driver, two finger is for scrolling.

@RehabMan I just directly update to macOS Sierra but now the Wifi isn't working, I have BCM94352Z installed on Y50, and I put in the new patches for it, but it doesn't seem to work... also I put in the patch for graphics glitch and now I can't even get into Sierra, it flashes while loading and then reboots. Is there a way to boot into Sierra? Thanks! :)

Read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Sorry, I didn't read that part well, I have reinstalled El Capitan with the guide, and then upgraded to Sierra. Now Wifi works, but I have an issue with the trackpad preference pane. I read the post about the trackpad pane disappearing, and have copied the preference pane from a backup El Capitan drive to System/Library/PreferencePanes. Now I have a weird pane without many settings such as two finger tap. Also when I boot into macOS Sierra, one finger tap won't work unless I open the trackpad preference pane from Settings. Is this fixable? Here are the files that are required for problem reporting, Clover is attached to the previous post on this page.

On a side note, can a Y50-70 10.12 guide be made? I'm guessing that many people are desperate for it.

The image you show is the normal/expected trackpad prefpane.
Probably the settings don't stick due to some other problem... You can set all trackpad settings using 'ioio' from a startup daemon.

The current guide for 10.11 Y50 works as well as known possible for 10.12.

I know nothing about startup daemon, can you link me where I can learn what it is and how to use it?
