Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi all,

So I decided to give it a go.

Tried to install macOs X Sierra on the Notebook Air 13,3" (which apparently is a Rev. 2 with the missing M.2 WWLAN slot :(

Install was pretty easy, even for my first try...
But on reboot and after I used multibeast, I have no working keyboard and no trackpad at all.

So I decided to give EL CAPITAN a try.
Same result...
On boot, no keyboard and no trackpad.

Did I forgot to choose some drivers in MultiBeast ?
Or is it a common Sierra related problem ?
Or is it because I have a rev. 2 Notebook ?

Regards.

Multibeast is for desktops.
To get working trackpad and keyboard use VoodooPS2Controller.kext in EFI/Clover/kexts/other and S/L/E.

Hi HorchaudiBMW,

Thanks for your answer... and please forgive the stupid question :(
This is my very first attempt to install MacOs on a PC (be it a laptop or a desktop).

And it's not always really obvious what to do, whatever the quantity of things you read :)

So, on the laptop, I don't need to use multibeast at all ?
I just install macOs and reboot choosing the Mac efi partition in the BIOS menu ?

Regards.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

Hi RehabMan,

Thanks a lot for the link.
Didn't really paid attention to the "Laptop" section.
Will give it a more in-depth look, but the first one was somewhat frightening : a lot of terms I don't even suspected could exist :(

You need to install clover manually, like it is written RehabMans clover guide.
Kexts must you also install manually.
But please update your personal details first and fill in your hardware specs like it is written in RehabMans FAQ to get better support in the future.

Hi HochaudiBMW,

Thanks... but I decided to give up the installation of macOs.
It will take away too much time for me...
So I'll keep it with triple booting : W10, Linux and Android.
And thus, no need for support :)

Regards.

OK, your decision.:)

Hi,

Yes :)
I'd probably dedicate more time to this if the result would be a fully functional machine.
But even if I manage to get it to work, I'll have a crippled machine anyways : no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no NVMe and probably not more than 4h30 of battery life.
Not worth spending too much time. Win10, Linux and Android offer a fully functional machine. And Win10 and Linux offer 8h30 SoT...

I'll keep macOs Sierra on my old trustworthy Mac Pro :)

Anyways... thanks for your time and efforts to help me.

Regards.

my notebook is MI notebook Air 13.3,too. I have tried to install Mac OSx 10.11.6 and 10.12.3 again and again, and it works almost stablely with HD520 graphics, eternal USB WiFi,ALC255, camera on sierra 10.12.3. Bluetooth does not work properly but it can be identified. hours later I will post my config.plist, DSDT and SSDTs. Hope you enjoy MI MacOSX Sierra.
Note: ig-platform-id should be modified as '0x19160000' after installation.
