XFX 5870 + HDMI audio HELP!

Hello lequibao,

i have a board with AD2000B codec (ASUS P5Q-E), too. Can you tell me the way you fixed your hdmi output. My board doesen't even show it. I have also an ATI Radeon, but an older card HD4850, works with a legacy kext for enabling the orginal Radeon2000X kext.

well, i tried the tutorial on this forum, heres the link:

I did all the modifications on DSDT like the tutorial, paying attention to paste the keys on the right place and do not forget the "{" or "}".
I added the GFX0 and the HDEF functions on DSDT like the tutorial.

After all the edits, the ioreg must show this devices (GFX0 and HDEF). In my board, after this edits hdmi audio started to work, and for on board audio i used a edited appleHDA and AD2000B kexts on extras and system folder.

Soon will boot my mac and send my kexts and DSDT, you can put them in system folder and extras, copy the devices GFX0, HDEF, and paste in your DSDT. With luck, you will have the on board and hdmi audio working (but with this method you will lose support via voodoohda).
for all this to work on the easy way, you must have a untouched appleHDA.
