Hi all,

I have just bought the XFX 5700 XT Ultra III and I am having issues with the multi-display port output. I know I need a custom framebuffer but also have no idea where to start.

I have looked at the thread at https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ebuffers-for-high-sierra-using-clover.235409/ but the tools there don't seem to have the output that I need?

For info I am running 10.15.7 and Opencore bootloader.

The question I have is does anyone have a patched frame buffer for this card or some better idea on how to start. Or finally should I just return the card and order a different brand (I see that XFX do some weirdness with their VBIOS?).

Assuming you have installed the card correctly, added the essential agdpmod=pikera boot argument to your OC config.plist and tried the 3 x DisplayPort and 1 x HDMI port, with no joy. I would recommend you RMA the XFX card if you aren't able to create a custom framebuffer for your card.

Search this Forum and have a look on the GPU Buyers guide for a compatible manufacturer of the RX 5700 XT DGPU - https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/modern-gpus/amd-gpu.html, before you purchase another RX 5700 XT, so you don't end up in the same position you find yourself in now.
