Hi guys!
I have a little bit not an ordinary question. I found on ebay a pair of Xeon L5420 CPUs for 100 dollars. There also are some motherboards for about the same price.
As you can guess, building an octacore system for just $200 sounds pretty cool. Motherboards have PCI-E x16 and SATA, also support DDR2, so I can just take components from my current build (core2duo) and use them.
The only question I have — is it worth it? Won't I face any troubles and problems with such system? Will I be able to install OSX as easy as it was with my current system using unibeast?
BTW If you need more specific component names, here they are:
Pair of Intel Xeon L5420 CPUs
SUPERMICRO X7DCA-L Server Motherboard Dual LGA 771
