Still a Mac Pro powered by a 14-nm Skylake era chip?

I like to believe that this news brings a little bit more hope for some of us.

There are professionals, not like hackintoshers here, that could care less about the price or how soon support will be dropped. They have work that must get done now. They're not worried about what will happen to Intel Macs 2-3 years from now. They need a reliable workstation that can be easily upgraded with all the various cards Apple sells for high end graphics performance. They need as many cores and threads as they can possibly get. The M2 Mac Pro is not even close to being ready yet. This is why Apple may be refreshing the Mac Pro with Intel Ice Lake or other Xeon processors.
