Hello everybody. I have been reading up on installing el capitan on my gigabyte x99 ud4 with the 5280k. I have successfully instlaled it and have it running at full speed using the fakecpuid trick.
Everything seems to work except I can't get usb 3.0 no matter what I do. I have asked other members about it but honestly nobody has explained it to me in a way I can understand. I have tried using a pre edited dsdt and all types of patches in clover but nothing has worked. Usb 3.0 works perfect in yosemite.
Can someone explain step by step how to get usb 3.0 working for this board. I would be very happy, if that happens I will make a full guide on how to install el capitan on this board and post it for the rest of the members.
