Done! What can I say... You made my day, my week! I owe you a beer :) It's incredible! Once understood, I think OC is even simpler than Clover! When a new version is released, I just have to update boot64.efi, OpenCore.efi, all the efi drivers and nothing more?

Well i don’t mind a beer. :D ha

Yeah, and you need to download the documentation and see what else has changed. Could need to do some adjustments in config also :) just let me know if you run into trouble!

Not quite. There are usually changes to the Config.plist structure and options that need to be accounted for. Xcode’s FileMerge is a good way of seeing what is has changed between builds.

Ok guys, and how to port settings of the old running config.plist to the updated "sample" one present in the update folder downloaded form GitHub repo?

Here's a start on a good tool for that job :)

take a look what has been changed on the github, most of the updates do not affect your hack, so you don't have to update it so frequently, (if it ain't broke, don't fix it)

Hello
I'm starting to move from clover to OC.
I followed this guide :https://khronokernel-2.gitbook.io/opencore-vanilla-desktop-guide/intel-hedt-config.plist/skylake-x
I succeed to boot with latest Mojave.
So I start to update to catalina.
I'm stuck during the boot at "Previous Shutdown cause :5"
I read : https://khronokernel-2.gitbook.io/o...troubleshooting/troubleshooting#macos-booting.

In the OC folder I have the SSDT-EC-USBX.aml
In the BIOS Above4GDecoding is enabled and CSM is disabled.
But when "Windows UEFI Mode" is enabled OC is not "secured enough" to boot on :
IMG_5342.jpg

is that normal ?
So I turn it off

I have Radeon VII, Decklink Mini-Monitor 4K and a Titan ridge PCIe cards.
Here's my EFI folder
Any advice ?
Thanks in advance

My SSDT-EC-USBX.aml was wrong. I attached the corrected one.
I could boot the Catalina installer partition.
But the next reboot has a kernel panic.
Is there a way to hang the verbose mode when Kernec panic happens ?
Keep searching ;)
