Good news for ASUS x299 : No more need for SSDT-AWAC.aml with this Bios ( 3203 ) to Boot Big Sur or Catalina. You will however need the quirk AppleXcpmExtraMsrs to be set to "Yes" in your config.plist as MSR 0x1AA is still locked.
So basically the new set of BIOSes for ASUS boards are still MSR Locked and should need a bios flash/OC Quirk? That's true for all boards?
Do you mean RTC regions have been mapped correctly so there's a proper RTC device macOS can see? newest boards have AWAC and they used to need a fake RTC anyway
Can someone post a clear indication of the actual situation? Thanks everyone.
