What would you like to see announced?

1. A 32" iMac with an M2 chip. Odds are very close to zero, but would still like to see it.

2. A VR headset. I was surprised they didn't offer a VR headset in March. The marketing ads with the 3D vortex Apple logo seemed to suggest it. I half wonder if the release was pushed back *after* they approved the ad campaign.

3. A major feature update (via software) for the Studio Monitor, that will at least turn it into a smart TV, if not do more to make use of the powerful chip. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We are just one month away from the release/announcement of macOS 13. Will we see then end of Intel Support ? Not likely. It would be nice if they gave us some kind of heads up as to how long in years they plan on continuing support. Not something vague like "many years to come." We don't need a specific end date, just a general "3 years" or next year or maybe "forever..." This being Apple I know they don't like to do that. It would at least help those using older Intel Macs decide whether they need to jump to an M1 Mac or whether they can keep it going longer.

9to5mac is saying/speculating that nothing older than the Late 2015 iMac will retain support. Even that could get dropped. I'd think that Late 2016 or newer Macbook Pros and 2017 or newer iMacs will be where support ends. 2013 Trashcan MP and the 2014 Mac mini will certainly be dropped by macOS 13. That's for certain.

It's possible that might happen but I'm stopping my Haswell hackintosh support with Monterey. Don't see any point in a lucky 13 upgrade at this stage in time. Hopefully you'll buy a 7020 or 9020 and pick up where I leave off.

They’re making so many mammoth assumptions.

and that wallpaper makes me cringe.
Seems we just got Monterey and in about a month they’ll announce its successor. Developer and public betas will follow shortly thereafter.

What makes me cringe is the thought of once again taking two steps forward and at least one step backward.

Or…… will you write a new guide for different hardware after the macOS 13 requirements are released? We’re getting closer to the last Intel hackintoshes….. maybe the last hackintoshes period…. Feeling sentimental and want to follow one more trs96 guide before it’s all over. :…./

Following this pace, Intel-based Macs can support up to macOS 16... hopefully.
