Hello folks,
I'm currently trying to make my Big Sur Installation to work properly. The installation went till now pretty smoothly (Thanks to Casey's famous guide for the Designare Z390).
Unfortunately I do have a bigger problem with my Samsung C49RG9x monitor. In Mojave everything works as expected (the default resolution is set to 5120x1440), but in Big Sur the default resolution is always set to 2560x720 (all monitor elements are scaled by two, the output resolution seems to be 5120x1440 tho). The display is connected via Displayport.
To fix this i tried to choose a scaled option in macos' display preferences (the option 5120x1440 is present). Using this scaled option does unfortunately not effect the boot logo in the second phase and especially does not effect the login screen.
Has anyone an idea how to fix this? Thanks for your help!
