Sandy Bridge isnt supported but people are experementing to get it working. Its not recommended if you want a working system today.

Sandy Bridge processors is socket 1155 and the motherboard you have choosen is socket 1156. They dont work together!

Difference with the K models of Sandy Bridge processors is that they are overclockable.

Better choice of processors is i5 760 or i7 870, or something around there.

GeForce 9500 is an old budget card. Get a GeForce 430 or something like that. 400 series support Directx11 and opengl4.1.

ok thanks for these suggestions but i thought the fermi cards dont work on mac and that geforce 430 is fermi http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product. and maybe if i can end up affording it i might get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product that will work great right? also do you know if the motherboard i chose will work

I have search the forum and GeForce 430 works according to some people.

Regarding motherboard if you plan of getting a normal ATX motherboard to get a P55. It has support for two 8x PCI Express ports, or one 16x and ... yadda yadda yadda. I do not understand why they put so many PCI ports on the motherboards when the chipsets support more PCI Express ports that are on the boards.

Gigabyte is the recommended brand at tonys but other boards work to. Take a look in the DSDT database.

If you want raw performance socket 1366 is a better choice then 1156. But Core i7 processors on socket 1366 is 130W and on 1156 they are 95W. It depends on how you prioritize cooling and the noise from the system.
